Thanksgiving Weekend

Thanksgiving: A time for food, fun and football right?? Well in Jeremy's family YES but also so much time to remember everything we have to be thankful for.

This past year itself I could compile a list longer than blog posts are allowed to be to tell all I have to be thankful for.

Just to name a few

- an engagement, and marriage to a Godly man

- graduating and getting a great job

- learning more and more each day about the greater purpose in life

This thanksgiving we spent Thanksgiving day with Jeremy's family and then headed to Stephenville to spend the weekend with mine! It worked out great and many thanks to everyone for being flexible ;)

At Jeremy's thanksgiving, it is quite large! Every other year the WHOLE fam gets together to see each other, eat, and play a "superbowl" with everyone.

This year there was a total of 48 expected family members to be attending!

It was a LITTLE cold outside this year...hence the gigantic toboggan on my head

This was the members of the two competing teams this year! The game ended at a fair tie!

We got to spend a few days with our favorite nephews ;)

These are all the great-grandkids at the family thanksgiving during picture time ;) and they are still missing about 5 or 6!

The boys are dressed and ready to go see Santa! We didn't get to accompany them to the North Pole to see Santa, but this was the turn out that Jerica sent us via text message

While they were headed to see Santa, we were headed to good ole Stephenville ;)

I have a cat named Samson that I have had for a pretty long time now, and still every time we get home, Samson goes right to JEREMY to sit in his lap or at his feet instead of mine. AND he doesn't even want Samson to!

This is the cat wishing he was in Jeremy's lap... and obviously Jeremy had scruntched up as close to the seat as he could to prevent that.

Then we decided to put Samson's christmas collar on... this the before picture....

And after....haha he hated it.

We got the royal treatment in the ville. Steaks and baked potatoes and "duck" meat appetizers. The boys thought these were wonderful, but all I could think about the whole time was cute little ducks flying around and now we were eating them...

Sunday we got to hear Jeremy's granddad preach at my church. He has been a blessing to the entire church and God had this all worked out for a long time. Just a few weeks before we got engaged, his granddad was appointed Interim Pastor at our church. So when we married us, at my church, he was the Interim Pastor...kind of neat ;)

So after church we had to get the thanksgiving photos of course!
