Anniversary Week!!

This past year has been a series of blessings after blessings. Jeremy and I took a second to look back at the past year this weekend as we spend some time together away from work, and home in grapevine, tx. So much has changed in the past year, and it has all been absolutely wonderful. Today we both have jobs, a new home and wonderful new friends and a church family that has opened up so much to us. A year of marriage has taught us so much, we can only imagine what more time together can become. It is truly a picture of God's love when you see a marriage form. We feel so blessed just to have each other, and now we can add all the experiences of the past year into the mix as well!

It was fun to remember last year through a few pictures taken by Jess Graham.

This week, Jeremy left on Monday morning, very early to go to California for his company's annual "POA" meeting, where they are learning all about their new drug coming out this summer. It was a week long conference, full of meetings and seminars. We missed him a lot around here!

Sadie slept a lot!

Before he left, we of course had to help and pack. And got a little distracted in the meantime...
Sam always needs a little pet.

She's also learning to smile!!
Sadie thought she might could go with Jeremy. She would pass the weight limit!

While he was in California, the company has an awards ceremony one of the nights! This year, Jeremy won an award!! He got "Rep of the Quarter"!
When the week was getting close to Friday, I started getting packed up and ready to go pick Jeremy up at the airport and head to Grapevine to celebrate our anniversary. Jill and Jody were SO great to keep our pups!

On the way to drop them off, they got a feww last ZZZ's before playing with Angel and Jazz, their dogs.
I finally got to pick up my hubby at the airport late that night and we got to our hotel in Grapevine! We spent most of the day Saturday relaxing at the pool! It was wonderful. Saturday night we went to the Gaylord Texan and ate dinner at the Riverwalk Cantina, modeled after the riverwalk in San Antonio!

This picture is kind of dark, but we were by the "riverwalk!!"

The Gaylord is such a crazy hotel! I am amazed everytime! Jack would have loved all the trains ;)
After we finished eating, we went next door to Bass Pro and walked around for a bit. We made our way back to the hotel and uncovered the tops of our wedding cakes that have been sitting in our freezer for the past year! Thanks to my mom, they stayed VERY nicely tight and closed! The cake tasted very good, probably better on the day of, but still good!!

It looked rather funny after a year of being sealed..and especially since his was a FISH! Here are the before and afters ;)

We made it home Sunday and picked up the little pups! Thanks again Jill and Jody!

Jeremy had some work to do to get caught up from the week, but after he was done he made us steaks for a little anniversary dinner and Mav's game! We had some wonderful friends invite us over for a Mavs party and we were sad we didnt get to fellowship with them, but thankful we got time to let Jeremy recoup and us a little celebration for our wedding! Thanks to understanding friends!!

Sam was really hoping she would get a piece of steak...no luck for her.

In front of the TV of course watching the MAVS! Steak, baked potatoes and cheesy biscuits!

A GREAT weekend to remember. Can't wait for the next year!
