We celebrated my birthday early this year (because Jeremy will be in New York on the actual day ;( , and he bought me second annual tradition ... tickets to the Brad Paisley summer tour concert!!

So needless to say we had to put on a celebration in honor of Brad.
So to start off the night.... I tried out Pioneer Woman's Chicken Fried Chicken Recipe! Jeremy was more excited about that than the concert almost...dont mess with a man and his food apparently ;)

It started out something like an assembly line! Chicken -- Check! Flour mix --- Check! Egg/unhealthy stuff --- CHECK!

Then the frying part! I think it turned out pretty well for the first time, I will have to try starting it on a lower temp next time because the outside was perfectly done, but the inside was a little bit not quite done ;/ so we had to microwave it, BUT it tasted great and still looked great ;) haha (And yes, the chicken on the right is my grilled chicken haha I just couldnt eat the fried chicken after i watched everything I was putting in it/doing to it...

Theres some fresh green beans too! mmm

Final masterpiece! Jeremy's chicken fried with homemade gravy (from the grease of the batter gahhh) but apparently it was AMAZING! -- and my grilled chicken hahaha

Never seen a smile so big for chicken fried. We should have played the Zac Brown song in honor of the meal...

Now to BRAD Paisley!!
First off - It was SO hot this year. Outdoor concert in August? Who's idea was that? But it was all remedied when Brad came out and started singing "Water"

Now please notice in this picture that Jeremy has a go-tee (how do you spell that??)
For some reason, we decided to go dressed umm...maybe a little redneck? Jeremy and his fishing shirt half un-buttoned, go-tee, and cargo shorts (yeah, he still has some from highschool no worries) and me in my wife beater tank and jean short -- we were cool, really.

We got to hear our first dance song LIVE! "Then" This was the 2nd time that we have gotten to hear it live, but it was even better this time after the fact that it was our first dance at our wedding ;)

Halfway through the concert, Brad just decided to make a little trip into the audience...I think I could have touched him but the security guards would have mauled me and that would have been disappointing...so I just went for the picture instead. Actually Jeremy got this one!!

It was a great bday celebration!! Thank you Jeremy ;)

Presently we are watching the first preseaon football game of the COWBOYS in our Romo and Barber jerseys dont even worry, and Jeremy cooked hamburgers for me in celebration of the BOYS!

  1. HOW FUN!!!! Y'all are sooo funny:) Love the redneck attire! We should go to Vegas together dressed in short cocktail dresses and our hair dyed blonde haha:) Hopefully we can take a little getaway together this year! Tell Jeremy good luck at training and to 'facetime' the boys often! p.s. your food looked amazing!

    Love y'all!
